ESTA Required: Under Review
Poland has strong ties with the United States of America, and Polish people is one of the most prominent minorities in the U.S. In fact, 10 million Poles live in the United States as of now. Poland has not yet joined the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA). The ESTA can only be completed online and has since its inception made traveling to the U.S. more convenient for many visitors.
As of Thursday 5th of September, Poland has not yet joined the U.S. Visa Waiver Program. According to Reuters, U.S. Vice President Michael Pence said the following on Monday 2nd of September 2019: “I am pleased to see that Poland is nearing eligibility for the Visa Waiver Program.” Pence mentioned this during a meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw, Poland after holding a speech during the ceremony which marked the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War Two.
